for your viewing play-sure

After the gym this morning I stopped at the market for a lemon, pasta sauce, grapefruit juice, yogurt, milk, and a free one-year-old's bday cake (did you know that Macey's does that? They do.), when I learned a Happy Earth Day tip: for each bag that you bring in, you get 5 cents off of your order, which is good for me since I already shop there. I had two Trader Joe's bags with me, and even more greeny bags in my car (but the ones in the car aren't put toward the discount).

After checking out (really! I write checks! All the time! I know people think it's archaic, but it makes me feel like a grown-up), I took a moment in the store's foyer to peruse today's redbox selections, when I spotted a gem.

I didn't rent it, BECAUSE I ALREADY OWN IT. If you haven't seen it, please . . . do yourself a favor and make tonight movie night. If you're out of popcorn, I have some extra.

When I was a little girl I had many, many Benji Posters scattered on my wall. I think I ordered a new one with each book order from school. I loved his movies (such a great actor) and his books....well, I don't know if he had any books but if he did I'm sure they would be wonderful. I'll have to check this one out for my kids and see if I can inspire another generation of kids to hop on the Benji wagon!

Thanks for jerking those memories of mine out of the dusty corner of my brain.

Free bday cakes from maceys? Is it a club they need to join?

Isn't that starring Clara's favorite "Sandwich?"

peef - Do enjoy. And please, PLEASE let me know what you thought of it.

C - No club. They offer a free, single-layer, 8-inch round cake for when a baby has their 1st bday. Just ask at the bakery.

yen - actually, it's Curly's Sandwich. She once asked him why he was so scary. He didn't even know why.

Thanks for the info....I won't ever have a one year old again, but does that work for 101 year olds? Hmmmmm.

I like paying my bills with checks. It seems so much cooler (cooler?) than paying online.

I would LOVE to get together next time I'm up there. We only had 3 days and my entire immediate AND extended family there for graduation, so we were obligated to spend time with them. Next time fo shizzle though.
