21 - Kass

For the month of November I’ve decided to post each day about a person or people who have influenced my life for good. There’s no way I could include each and every person in one month or even one year, and for that I hope you’ll forgive me. This year, especially, has brought an acute awareness of the kindness and generosity which surrounds me and my kids, so here’s one attempt at giving thanks.

21 – Kass

I mean. Kass.

Kass is a mom who also happens to be a very successful fitness instructor. I love so much about her. She looks for and chooses to see the positivity in life. She works incredibly hard, and counts her blessings along the way.

She’s funny and generous with her time and resources. When she meets people after her classes she’s really paying attention to what people are sharing with her. She cares for people, she remembers details.

At her heart, at her center, is her family. They’re her everything. She’s really a great example of prioritizing family.

Kass is also a smart businesswoman—I don’t think someone gets to where she is in their career without the right combination of Smart and Savvy.

Her kindness, her sincerity, her authenticity, her awareness, her sense of humor and talents…I could go on and on about all the things I admire in Kass.

This summer I got to travel to Texas with Kass, not just on a plane but also in hotels and on a crazy roadtrip. It was a blast and I wish I could do it more often.

She has done things for me that have humbled me to the point of wanting nothing more than to pay it forward and look for opportunities to bless others’ lives as she’s blessed mine. I learn from her at our every interaction.

I hope people know that as beautiful as Kass is, as much of a great dancer, and as fun and happy and energetic as she is, she is even more generous and loving. She exemplifies what it means to have inner beauty shine through.

Thanks, Kass. I love you.

I liked her the minute I first saw her in your Zimbabwe class. :)
