The Calendar is Not the Boss of Me and My Cards ($50 Minted Giveaway!)

Do you like sending holiday cards? I love sending them and I love getting them. Sure, it's a lot easier to email a letter with a picture attached, but there's something special about receiving mail - real mail - knowing that someone thought of you.

SPOILER ALERT Here's the picture on our cards this year:

I celebrate Christmas, which is next Wednesday. My cards are currently in my kitchen, but I'm not stressed because I can make them New Year cards if I feel like it. The calendar is not the boss of me and my cards.

What about you? Do you send out cards? Some of the nicest cards I've seen are from Minted. Minted is an online stationery store powered by a global community of designers, which means that all its stuff is, you know, pretty. Really, I enjoy seeing not only the variety of design, but the modern looks available (or classic, whatever you like). Stationery and eye candy combined? It IS a Happy Christmas!

If you haven't ordered your cards, there's still time. I know Christmas snuck up on you, so give yourself a break and order New Year cards - it's fun and different. Plus, there's no deadline on sending a New Year card.

To help you out, I'm giving away a $50 credit to Minted. Enter below, good luck, I hope you win.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Thanks to Minted for providing the prize for this giveaway. Disclaimer: Minted approached me about writing this post, so it's sponsored. As you know, I wouldn't have accepted unless I really thought they had awesome stuff to offer, which I do, and which they do. The opinions here are my own, and I'm being honest with you. Reals.

I already sent mine out. But I will need some birth announcement cards...

...and the birth announcement I would choose? The fancy floral frame.

We sent out a Christmas letter with mini-sized photos of each person since we're not getting our family picture (minus one) until January. This would be the perfect way to send out those. (New Years Cards? Genius!) I would use the Foxtrot Frame. Simple but nice.

Oh, and I can't pick just one card, they are all amazing, especially the foil stamped ones.

I've been so discouraged about cards this year. I really love them, but fewer and fewer people are sending them. I'd given up on mine, but I may just put my "bah humbug" aside and do the New Years idea.

I love the mini book cards!

I like the 2014 stacked New Year card. My Christmas cards are not yet ordered, so they may be New Years cards this year...
