Date: 2 August, 2007 (Thursday)
Time: 8:something pm
Place: My family room ("The Blue Room")
Activity: Family Scripture Reading

Papi is sitting on the LVC couch, reading from the Libro de Mormon. Li'l ~j. is sitting behind him, on top of the back of the couch, combing his hair.

*Did you just read that correctly? Yes, you did. And, yes, my husband has practically no hair, yet there he was, having it combed.*

After some thoughtful glances and obvious consideration regarding where exactly to part her father's hair, an imaginary lightbulb, situated directly above my daughter's head, turns on.

"Papi?"

"¿Si?"

"I know why you don't have so much hair."

"Oh, ¿si? ¿Por que no?"

"Because you want to choose the right and be like the prophet, and he doesn't have so much hair, either."

only two

For some reason, bloody blogger won't let me post more than two photos -- even though I've disabled all popup blockers. Oh well.

I don't have any tatoos.

But I wish I did.

(And I still go to the temple!)

If I were to have a tatoo, it would be on the inside of my left wrist, and it might look something like this:

(kind of gross when it's all close up like that)

I was thinking, if my kids were to choose tatoos, what would they choose?

Li'l ~j. would choose the Chinese Symbol for Rabbit

You know how some people have permanent, tatooed makeup? Curly would choose tatooed jewelry

[can't find an image of this]

Superstar would choose something Little Einsteins -- luckily, these exist

And Bubby...well, he'd have to have something that says,

"I can do that mySELF, thank you very much!"

What would you choose?

sing a song that we all know

Remember Gramps?

Well guess what.

He's 80 today!

Gramps, we love you. We are so blessed to have you in our lives and in our family. You are a blessing to everyone around you.

Thanks for marrying Beans & Sean.

And thanks for marrying Mom & Dave.

Thanks for always taking pictures of everything.

Remember when Bubby and I came to see you in April?

That was great. I loved talking about American Idol with you.

And I loved the sign you had up in your house.

Happy Birthday. If we were with you, we'd take you to Eat 'N Park.
We love you!
