helpful reminder:

The book is the book and the movie is the movie.

They can both be awesome while being different.

Mmmmkay?

I'm so with you! The only thing I didn't like about the last movie was all the people whining about how disappointed they were it wasn't exactly like the book. I'm so excited for this one! (And I may be the only person who hasn't seen it already. I know someone who has seen it three times. Already.

So true, which is why I never re-read the book before the film so I don't remember the things that are different (a good time to have a bad memory) or that have been omitted! I think that the films have to be able to stand on their own, they flow differently too. They also need to make sense to those who haven't read the books (my husband), and really, who could fit everything from the book into film?!

Ah. I am trying so hard to get there, this time around.

It's hard to have a world in your head and then see what it's like in someone else's head.

dalene - what about now? Have you seen it yet?

Naomi - Yes, I didn't read immediately before the movie, and in fact had forgotten a few things. Loved the book(s). Loved the movie(s).

Fig - The house where James & Lily were murdered looks, in the movie, EXACTLY as I pictured it.

Joanne - thank you!
