When I go into my bathroom this time of year, I see the most beautiful of color contrasts outside my window. (not that you can tell from my crappy-quality blackberry photo, but the stark of yellow against blue knocks me over)

I'm grateful for these trees, planted by my neighbor . . . trees which give us shade, leaves, the distinct sound of wind blowing through the yard, beautiful scenery.

Thank you, Shelly. Happy birthday.

Thank you for the birthday wishes! You are a good friend. I am glad you like the trees and I am sorry that you will be having your kids rake them up this fall. :)

Somewhere, years ago I heard that the most perfect color combination is the gold of Quaking Aspens interspersed with an occasional evergreen on a background of an autumn blue sky with a few white, fluffy clouds. Your window view is beautiful!
