"Why not?"
"I didn't know where I was supposed to go to vote."
This was met with eyerolling and a snickered, "Psssssh! Come on! What kind of excuse is that?"
I was humiliated. I had thought about voting all day that day, but Provo wasn't like my hometown, where you just go to the (one) high school and vote. I didn't have the slightest idea of where to go. We didn't have internet access in our apartment at the time, so I called people I thought would be home to ask them -- locals, people who had lived in Provo for a while and would certainly know where to vote. Of the two people who answered their phones that day, neither of them knew where we were supposed to go. In fact, one woman in my neighborhood, who had lived there for years, called me to ask if I knew where we should vote.
The embarrassment of that evening made me determined to never miss another opportunity to vote.
So, for you, I present:
Where to vote in Provo.
First, click here. Enter your address in the upper right box (where it reads Address or Owner Name). When your address appears, click on the words My Polling Place, and you will be directed to your nearest voting location. As an additional reference, see this chart.
Also, vote for Steve Clark for mayor.

It's totally redundant to say so, but you are awesome.
Oooh...I hope it wasn't me who made you feel badly because I NEVER know where to go to vote...
This made me chuckle. The only voting we do at the school is for the school budget! But, since your dad is a teacher, we ALWAYS did that. Regular voting, for councilmen, senators, congressmen, presidents, yadda, yadda is done at the firehall. The auxiliary has a wonderful bake sale for a fundraiser. Some folks may vote at the school, but it isn't our polling place. I'm not sure why you missed that
Oh no was it me? I totally remember that night and I'm sorry if I made you feel bad all this time! You are awesome whether you vote or not. But thanks for the link. That little map thingy is cool.
