auction #4

During the First Big Auction, I saw that my friend Gerb was auctioning off a quilt. After (too)much drooling and contemplation, I decided to bid, only to go to her blog to find that the auction had closed thirteen minutes earlier. (And the winner was my friend Lucky, who really is!) But you - yes, YOU! - are in luck today, my friend, because Gerb has asked that I auction off this beautiful piece for the taking:

Can you believe the luck?!?

Another beautiful quilt!!

(front full view)

Here is a description, in Gerb's own words:

The quilt is 54"x54". You can start the bids at $30. It is hand-pieced and machine-sewn, in case that is important. And this is another quilt from Aunt Eva - one she made and gave me a couple kids back. I thought it was so beautiful that I couldn't use it or it might get ruined so I folded it up and put it in my hope chest, but I figured it would be better to make a little $$ for the Nielsons than store it, unused. Hopefully someone will love it.

How could anyone who sees this NOT love it? Just look at the detail.

Now, pick up your jaw off of the floor and get bidding! Like the lady said, bids start at (ONLY) $30.

This auction will end on Wednesday, September 24th at 11:59 pm MDT

GO!

Um, this blanket should go for MANY MANY DOLLARS.

The quilt Aunt Eva made that I have is EXQUISITLY hand-pieced (corners are on point... amazing). It is sturdily made and sewn (no falling apart, that I can tell). The quilting is BEEEEAUTIFULLY done.

Just my 2 cents.
