After creating our wish tags and tying them to our balloons, my family and I drove to where we wanted to launch our own balloons: the trailhead of the Y.

We had eleven balloons:

~1 white for Mr. Doug Kinneard

~1 purple for Claire

~1 pink for Jane

~1 dark blue for Oliver

~1 light blue for Gigs

~2 sets of 3 each (one red, one green, one orange) for Christian and Stephanie
Appropriately enough, I couldn't untangle Christian's & Stephanie's balloons from each other, so I left them alone. The launch...
I love how the balloons followed each other up the mountain, just like the family: The four kids running ahead, and the parents, hand in hand, following.
We wished and wished and wished... ...while Bubby & Atcha participated in their own special ways. We then drove to Kiwanis park where...well, you know what happened there.

Lovely launch. And I love your angle--with faces upturned--on the Kiwanis Park launch. Thanks for sharing!

That was very sweet. I love the picture of baby girl in the car seat.

I thought it would be really cool to let balloons off at the Y. One of the brief times I actually saw Stephanie in person was when I was huffing and puffing my way up to the Y. She ran past me on her way up AND her way back down before I even made it up! This was not long after she had her fourth child! That always amazes me when I think about that. Well, I didn't quite make it but I'm glad someone else thought of the Y too.

I love your description of your launch. It was beautiful!

I adore that tangling love. And you are wonderful.

I talked to one person last night who said he saw those balloons go up near the Y.
