it's been a while

The clock on my screen says 1:21 am, and I believe I'm tired, but I won't go to bed. I've only just realized that it's been awhile since I just sat here, at the dashboard, and let my thoughts out, so I'll give that one a go.

Why am I awake so late? Well, it's because the dryer isn't finished. See, it'll be wicked-cold when it's time for the kiddos to go to school in the morning, and I need to ensure that Superstar's coat is clean and dry. We took the coats out of storage on Saturday, first thing in the morning. All kids had fitting snow coats and snow pants, excepting Curly in the coat department, so she and I shuffled out in the storm to buy her The Coat Of Her Dreams. (It was to be found in American Fork, Utah -- who knew?) I got myOWN self a coat, too. It's green. You like it.

Atcha woke up crying. I changed her diaper and gave her a cup of milk, and then Darin brought her downstairs to cuddle on the couch. For some reason, taking that one into my room is like bringing her to the circus - she wants to run around and play and discover and all other sorts of tomfoolery. I wonder if she is still awake, there in her Papi's arms. I'll turn around now to see. She's mostly asleep.

I want to thank you for reading my blog. Hm, that sounded like an exiting line, no? It's not, I just am grateful that you read my blog. Did you know I won a prize? I did. And it's because of people who read my blog. That's an extra bonus today, so thanks for that, too.

Do you know my friend LaYen? She's really clever. I don't know why, but earlier this evening, I was browsing facebook and found this old post she put on her page, one of those "tag 25 people" things, and I just think it's the most cleverest thing we've ever read, so, without any sort of permission from her, I give you:

That Stupid Freaking 25 Things Thing. (by LaYen)

I think I'm sufficiently tired. Nervous for tomorrow, but it's enough that I feel I should at least go to my room and relax. 1:31.

I love it when you just ramble in pre-slumber.

I'm curious to know what kind of coat was the coat of her dreams! And yes, it has been frigidly cold these past couple of nights/mornings! Get some sleep tonight :)

I miss you.

But not 1:31 in the morning.

Congrats on the award. I am an internet drop out.

I second that "nervous?"

Nervous because today Darin went back to work (after working from home all last week), so I've been doing more than I should (lifting, etc.), but it's actually not too terribly bad. And last night I knew that in order to have a good day I should go to sleep...then I didn' that made me worry more because if I didn't go to sleep I knew I'd be more tired...and so I was worried which made me not able to know how it goes. The last time I looked at the clock last night it was 3:04 am.

As for the coat of Curly's dreams, it's a smashing number from Old Navy. Very warm!
