Early in our marriage, this sort of thing happened at Christmas time to Darin and me:
We recount it every year, and we laugh and laugh.
This year has been no exception.
We love to laugh over here. We love to be happy. We love to be together, with each other -- our little family, Home For The Holidays. Bubby's been asking each morning if he can open the presents yet; this evening he decided to just get started on his own. I laughed and laughed...and then I re-wrapped.
Tomorrow we'll enjoy some friends, food, and fondue before settling in for a long winter's nap. And Christmas morning we'll come downstairs to a bunch of gifts under the tree (we keep the gifts in our room until Christmas morning; under the tree until then? Christmas books, a tradition I believe we bogarted from our dear friend Aunt Lelia), and probably have a billion laughs before we enjoy our delicious Pies made by Mark (he delivers to our door, what more could we want?). And we'll watch Elf, which is the funniest Christmas movie.
Here's one more funny for you:
Merry Christmas, y'alls.
