vlog

I decided to try a li'l vlog.

The sound quality is horrid.

And the singing is meh.

But this is really how it happens. I could have warmed up my voice and waited for a time when the kids weren't around and done this song until I had the perfect take.

And what fun would that have been?

I'm going to quickly post this before I lose my nerve.

Quick! Enter the Foxy Blunt giveaway! Winner announced on Monday!

So sweet to see you interacting with your kids--and I loved how your daughter knew the song so well she was singing along and doing actions.

Evidence of a mother's love right here.

Annette - thank you! We love to sing and dance together.

Steph - Thanks! I hope Mindy at least gets a good chuckle out of this.

vanessa - I learned it from watching @bernthis and @alexistlesa

wendy - thank you! Isn't she funny? She's so into it. No idea where she gets it.

Hailey - takes one to know one. Thank you. I miss you.

Shell - I don't know if it's so much that I let them join me...they just always do. And that's more than fine by me.

helenjane - I'm taking requests. Also -- will you teach me to saber a wine bottle? That was AWESOME.

The two things I covet more than my neighbors' car...singing and playing the piano.
I can't do either. But you can. And at the same time! Loved it.

I was smiling the entire time. That was awesomeness personified. Then squared... no, cubed. Or whatever. (I'm not good with math, but you get my point.)

Holly said...

Lovely! I'm crying just a wee bit. (Or more than a wee bit). Love your kids singing with you.

Jen said...

It just wouldn't have been the same without the kids- what focus you have! So sweet. It makes me excited for a little girl (except that we'll never sit around the piano and sing unless SHE learns to play it- so sad).

I love that your shirt was color coordinated to your fabulous new room, but I particularly love your back up singer/dancers. I just want to call them all to my house and feed them as many cookies as they want.

Amy said...

I am so impressed. :) You dance, you sing, you play the piano plus you're a triathlete. Is there anything you don't do?

Tauni said...

Glad you went for it. I happen to think that the best thing about this post is that you were playing and singing with your kids all around. It's the sort of look at a real home that I LOVE!

Mindy Gledhill said...

Hahaha! I LOVE THIS! Your kids are cracking me up. Thanks so much. What an honor.

~j. said...

ray-ray - but what you can do? have my daughter pee on you and still smile. (will I ever forget or stop being embarrassed about that? um NO.)

oh, gerby. Math's hard. (and thanks.)

Holly, oh, are you crying because it hurt your ears? I'm so sorry.

Jen - of course she'll play the piano. It's what girls do. And boys play ball. And all dogs are boys and all cats are girls.

CKW - they'll be right over. Also, didn't even think about my shirt! I should wear it all the time in that room.

Amy - I don't eat olives. Or raisins.

Tauni - thank you! Yes, they're always all around. Just like I like it.

Mindy - Glad you got to see it! And that you like it.

THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY!

... and as Mindy says in her song... "I do adore". ;-)

~j. said...

Thanks, Queen. I know you & your girls love this music, too.

That was awesome! You're the bomb. So are your kids.

This is so cool...the song is beautiful but i just love the way we were able to get a glimpse into what your life is like...with your kids all over...but happy. loved this.
