Homework: Travel Studies: Plan a Trip

Homework: ~List ten places you'd like to go someday. Write a paragraph about your ideal type of trip. Prompt: "I don't like to ___when I'm on vacation. I go away so I can _____."

Ten Places I’d like to go someday:

1. Hawaii
2. Ireland
3. Spain
4. England
5. Finland
6. France
7. Italy
8. Australia
9. Brazil
10. Germany

(Those on the list are places I’ve never visited; there are places I have visited – Boston, NYC, DC, etc. – that I’d like to visit again as well. Also, not on the list, is my current dream vacation: The 10-day, Western Caribbean Disney Cruise.)

I don’t like to worry when I’m on vacation. I go away so I can relax. Relaxing, to me, means being taken care of. I want to have a spacious hotel room, beautiful and clean, that can fit my entire family. The bedsheets are the softest I’ve ever felt, and fresh flowers sit on the bedside tables. The hotel staff are eager to accommodate the seemingly unending demands of my family, and they do it with a smile, saying, “Mrs. Eckton, it is our sincere delight to see to it that each and every member of your family is suitably comfortable, please let us know what more we can do for you,” and I believe them. We do as we please: we sleep in if we choose, we go on walks to behold the local wonders, we shop and visit and watch and learn and enjoy. Beaches. Shows. Shopping. Museums. Parks. Architecture. We relish each others’ company, and the trip proves to be a great memory in the minds and hearts of each.

.
What is this? Why, it's homework!
You can
get in on the fun, too!

You would love boutique hotels.

...and I'd like to go on a Disney Cruise too... just seems like the kids would love it...as long as no one fell over.
