GIVEAWAY #1 - Bags Made for Provo Farmer's Market -- TWO WINNERS!

I'm doing this giveaway based on Things In Which I Believe.

One thing I believe in is Buying Local, supporting local farmers and small businesses. I know it can be pricey, and it's not something I do exclusively, but I like to do this as much as possible. Attending the weekly local farmers market has made this inordinately easier. I've come to know the owner of the Clifford Farms booth (presumably Mister Clifford, who notices when I've missed a week, or when I come later in the day than usual) from whom I buy a dozen eggs each week. $4/dozen, but they are SO DELICIOUS. (As an aside, did you know that eggs can taste better? I know! But they TOTALLY DO.) And Lori Stubbs, a dear friend who sells her Stubbs Farms goods - go see her, and you won't be sorry.

This brings me to today's giveaway:

Two 100% cotton, fair trade, non-toxic ink bags made locally for Provo's Farmers Market!

Whether you've lived in Provo your entire life, you've never been to Provo, or never plan on going to Provo, this is an excellent addition to the bags you use for your own farmers market, or the bags you keep in your car with the intention of bringing them into the grocery store but end up forgetting that they're in your car so you just go with plastic bags because you can at least use them for small trash can liners.

There are two different bags, each with a different design:

(winner #1 will receive bag #1, and winner #2 will receive bag #2)

YOU CAN ENTER UP TO EIGHT TIMES AND IT'S SUPER EASY. Here's how you win (yes, I totally bogarted this format from giveawaytoday):

First Entry: Comment with your name.
Example: Joe Blow.

Second Entry: Comment with your name
and the name of your favorite Farmers Market
and why.
Example: Joe Blow. I like the Provo Farmers Market
because I like to see the kids play on maypole
whilst I learn about how to make a hand-made broom.

Third Entry (worth 5 entries): Comment with your name
and tell me that you've added my blog button to your blog.
Example: Joe Blow. Button.

This giveaway will be open until Wednesday, July 1st, 2009, at 11:59 pm MDT. The winner will be announced here on this blog on Thursday, July 2nd, 2009.

Good Luck!

Emily Hollingshead. I like Pikes Place Market in Seattle
because I love the little donuts you can buy, the flying fish, and the silly pigs all around. I grew up in the Seattle area and loved going on weekends to buy delicious food. My parents ran a strawberry stand before I was born there too...so yes...farmers markets rock!

cabesh. I love the Umpqua Valley Farmer's Market because it takes place where I grew up. Which makes going there like a cuddly blanket.

Lisa P. (again) I have never been to a Farmer's market but I am going to the Provo one soon because my friend Lisa is opening a booth. It will then be my favorite. :) (And that will have to do because I don't know how to make your button appear on my sidebar- I closed my eyes and clicked my heels 3 times but alas...I only ended up in Kansas.)

GerbertaDonnaRoyceBlack. I am in love with the Provo Farmer's Market for many reasons... but my favorite is the little donuts that they fry up right there. I love those donuts. I love when the fruit and veggie season hits, too - so I can buy the locally grown stuff. Mmmmm.

La Yen. I plan on winning everything this week. Heads up, losers!

La Yen. I added your button yesterday because I am an overachiever. I would like to point out I have no one else's buttons up. (Except for MMB, but that is entirely self-serving.) Is it elses' else's? Can't think.

La Yen. We have a decent farmers market in New Mexico. I can get eggs there, but--guess what? I can't tell the difference. And last time, by the time I got home, six of the eggs were broken. Local egg fail. But I do buy my chile peppers there. And my pickles.
