Frosting or Icing?

oh. that's a tough one. What kind of frosting? What kind of cake? Is it sugar cookies? Icing definitely. Is is a really moist cake with only a thin layer of non-oily frosting? Frosting. umm...

What does it say about me when I didn't know there was a difference. That being said, I say frosting. It sounds less Powdered sugar and milk-ish (that was icing for me growing up).

Icing all the way. It is the best. You can eat more of it too because it is less sweet...at least I think so.

Not a fan of frosting on cakes...I don't eat it... that goop of frosting ends up in my sink. ;-)

I do like making that powdered sugar, milk, vanilla concoction for cinammon rolls... or cream cheese with brown sugar for cookies.

It that the difference? Where it goes?

I like the peel-off frosting on TasTCakes, and their bastard cousin, the Zinger.

But for the best cake topper, throw on some ganache and I am there.
