...as far as i can see is coal grey...

Nicole got married last Saturday in St. George.

Let me break it down: she got married

in August

in St. George

at noon.

And the pictures were after the wedding.

Outside.

Yikes!

To seek refuge from the heat, my brother and his family went into the Visitors' Center, where they were approached by a missionary who looked familiar to both James and Monica. The nice Elder asked if they'd be interested in watching a film, which offer was declined, and the Elder went about helping and talking with others. After awhile, the Noonans realized why and how they recognized this friendly missionary, so when he approached them again, Monica said, "You know, when I first saw you, I thought you must be a family friend, but I just couldn't place your name, but now I know where I know you from."

The Elder humbly chuckled, "Oh! Well, that happens..."

"You'd think you'd be sent to a more distant area, where people wouldn't recognize you."

"Well, we're happy to serve wherever we're called."

They talked for a few minutes and then James said, "I guess we should get back out there, into the heat."

The Elder replied, "Yeah, it's really hot out there today. The low cloud cover last night didn't allow for temperatures to drop, so it was only 86 last night, boosting today's temperature up to 108, and we're supposed to hit 110 today. In Denver it's 101 today, and in Salt Lake it's 103."

James and Monica bit the insides of their cheeks to keep from laughing. When they departed, James shook the missionary's hand and said, "It was nice talking with you, Elder Eubank."

I hate when Google eats my comments, but I love this post. I'm a huge fan. (Of you, and of Elder Snowbank.)

Good story telling.

Doesn't Elder Eubank seem like everyone's favorite uncle?

p.s. How could they've declined the movie? I dare say it features my espouso with an awesome wig.

Are we still okay to use "awesome" on your blog? As I remember it was banned a while ago which wasn't awesome at all.

Never banned. Anon was banned (bless her heart), but not Awesome.

Awwww....he's my favorite weather man. I just love it when people are passionate about what they do and he fits that bill.

Too, too funny. I had to share that one with Allen. It made me smile both times.
