Date: 2 August, 2007 (Thursday)
Time: 8:something pm
Place: My family room ("The Blue Room")
Activity: Family Scripture Reading

Papi is sitting on the LVC couch, reading from the Libro de Mormon. Li'l ~j. is sitting behind him, on top of the back of the couch, combing his hair.

*Did you just read that correctly? Yes, you did. And, yes, my husband has practically no hair, yet there he was, having it combed.*

After some thoughtful glances and obvious consideration regarding where exactly to part her father's hair, an imaginary lightbulb, situated directly above my daughter's head, turns on.

"Papi?"

"¿Si?"

"I know why you don't have so much hair."

"Oh, ¿si? ¿Por que no?"

"Because you want to choose the right and be like the prophet, and he doesn't have so much hair, either."

Well of course!

(But don't you find it interesting that as much as our kids sometimes make us want to pull our hair out we don't have more issues with thinning hair?

tori - Yeah, I've always understood it, I just get nervous speaking it. As they get older, though, words are being used that I don't know, which is fine - I can learn.

Remember when she told me that it was okay for you and me to kiss because I had short hair like a boy?

I love that kid so much that it hurts.

That's it, I'm shaving my head...at least then I'll have the appearance of having chosen the right.
